Premium Programming From HBO(R) Debuts on PlayStation(R)3 and PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable)
First Gaming System to Provide HBO Television Programming
FOSTER CITY, Calif., May 25 /PRNewswire/ — Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced that programming from HBO, the premium cable television network, is available starting today on the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) system, the first gaming system to offer HBO original television programming. PlayStation®Network’s video delivery service now features HBO content for purchase in the United States on the PlayStation®3 and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) systems.
Beginning today, the following popular shows from the award-winning cable network are available on the HBO section of PlayStation®Store (navigate to the HBO section by selecting TV Shows> Networks> HBO), with more titles and additional seasons to be added each week:
- New release and Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning series “True Blood®,” season two in addition to season one
- Golden Globe®-winning drama series “Big Love®,” seasons one through three
- Golden Globe®-winning comedy series Entourage®,” seasons one and two
- Comedy hit “Eastbound and Down®,” season one
- Multiple seasons from HBO signature shows such as “The Sopranos®,” “Sex and the City®,” “The Wire®,” “Rome®,” “Da Ali G Show®,” “Curb
- Your Enthusiasm®,” and “Flight of the Conchords®”
