With 22 years of work at Microsoft, Satya Nadella should know the company too well. Today, Nadella now succedds Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer as CEO of Microsoft. He’s been in charge of many important roles in differente divisions of the company such as:

  • President of the Server & Tools
  • Senior Vice President of Research and Development for the Online Services Division
  • Vice President of the Microsoft Business Division
  • Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Business Solutions and Search & Advertising Platform Group

“Our industry does not respect tradition – it only respects innovation,” says Nadella. “The opportunity ahead for Microsoft is vast, but to seize it, we must move faster, focus and continue to transform. I see a big part of my job as accelerating our ability to bring innovative products to our customers more quickly.”

With Nadella as CEO, there are changes at the company:

  • Bill Gates will no longer be a chairman, but becomes a tech adviser. John Thompson will take Gates’ position as chairman.
  • Focus on mobile: the company’s strategy will take place in a “mobile and cloud-first world.”
