Sega announced earlier today the videogame version of Sonic Boom, a new take on its famous character which will also be seen in an all-new CG animated series and toy line.

Sonic fans should immediate noticed cosmetics changes in Sonic and friends. Sonic looks taller and wears a scarf, while Knuckles look physically stronger. The developer BigRedButton is working on the Wii U version while Sanzaru develops the title for the 3DS. The game is a prequel to the animated series which will be airing on Cartoon Network; the game will make its debut exclusively on the Wii U and 3DS.

Q: What do you think of the new look of Sonic and friends? And, what are fans of Guile (from Street Fighter) thinking about now that one of his special moves has the name of Sega’s upcoming game?
