Activision and Blizzard announced earlier today the arrival of the beta version of Destiny. According to the announcement, PlayStation console owners will be able to enjoy the beta longer than the Xbox ones. Players will be able to download the beta on the PS3 and PS4 (PS Plus required for some features) starting on July 17 at 1pm EST, and on Xbox 360 and Xbox One (Xbox Live Gold required) on July 23.

Before the release of the beta arrives to Microsoft’s consoles, the beta will be offline on July 21 and 22 for maintenance, returning on July 23.

Both companies also revealed three different collector’s editions of the game: Destiny Ghost Edition ($149.99), Destiny Limited Edition ($99.99), and the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition ($89.99).
