During the first day at EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, Microsoft and Iron Galaxy announced at a panel the return of Maya to the Xbox One version of Killer Instinct.

The Amazonian warrior, who made her debut in Killer Instinct 2 in 1996, will have a pair of daggers that can be used to make consecutive hits and as unblockable projectiles. She can also lose one or both of the daggers if she misses hitting her rival.

Both companies also mentioned changes coming to season two of the game, some of which will include updates to the jailing system, better stat tracking, inclusion of air counter breakers and penalization to gamers who get disconnected.
