John Riccitiello, former EA CEO from 2007 to 2013, returns to work in the field of gaming as CEO of cross-platform game engine company Unity.

According to David Helgason, Unity founder, he will be leaving the position of CEO but will be active within the company. About Riccitiello, Helgason says “He’s the right person to help guide the company to the mission that we set out for ourselves over a decade ago: democratize game development!”

Also on the post, Helgason said: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with John closely over the last year after I convinced him to join our board. It’s been a delight to see his passion for Unity and what we’re doing here grow as he got to know the Unity community better and better.”

Q: Will the return of Riccitiello bring a positive impact to Unity?
