Leonard Nimoy, well-known actor for his role as the half-human/half-Vulcan character known as Spock on Star Trek TV series and films, has passed away earlier today at the age of 83. Nimoy died at his home in Los Angeles of an end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Last year, he revealed his condition, which was due to his many years of smoking.
For fans of the popular sci-fi franchise that made its TV debut on NBC in the 1960s, then, found success on TV syndication, and jumped to bigger adventures in films and new series, will for sure miss Leonard Nimoy.
