A Star Wars mini-game version of the classic action game Contra is now playable in Star Wars: Force Collection featuring Chewbacca as the main character. It seems like Contra also got The Force.

The free-to-play Force Collection card game released for iOS and Android devices plays now lets players enjoy four stages in the mini-game. There are many details that should remind players of Contra in this game such as the 2D side-scrolling and pseudo-3d look of the stages, as well as the various weapons and power-ups. People who have played the original arcade and NES version of Contra will not need any introduction to this. There is something that brought Contra to fame besides the fun (and hard) gameplay: the Konami code (used to get 30 lives instead of 3).

The special mini-game will be available for a limited time until May 27 @ 1:59 EST.
