Via its support page, Sony Computer Entertainment announced it will end support for built-in Facebook features on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, and for the Facebook apps on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV.

Though no explanation has been offered for the removal of the service, the apps are not available on the PlayStation Store since yesterday; however, the apps as well as the FB built-in functions will still work until sometime in January 2016.

Fortunately, PlayStation 4 owners won’t be affected by this decision.
