At CES 2016, Sony CEO Kaz Hirai told the BBC over 100 titles are being developed for PlayStation VR, Sony’s vision into the worlds of virtual reality & gaming.
To reach such a feat, Sony Computer Entertainment has attracted enormous support from third-party developers, mainly from the game development community.
“I think the fact we have more than 200 developers signed up for the PlayStation VR program who are working on about probably a hundred or more titles that will play on PlayStation VR is a testament to the kind of support that we are getting from the content creation community on PlayStation VR,” Hirai told BBC tech correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones. “So, you know, I think that we have good support and it will be a great product coming out later this year.”
Are HTC/Valve and Facebook/Oculus ready to take the challenge against the PlayStation VR? There are already 35 million owners of the PlayStation 4.
