Rise of the Tomb Raider won yesterday evening the outstanding achievement in videogame writing award at the 2016 Writers Guild Awards.
The winning team of writers was triumphant over the other nominees Pillars of Eternity, The Witcher 3 and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The group is formed by John Stafford (lead narrative designer), Cameron Suey (narrative designer), Rhianna Pratchett (lead writer) and Philip Gelatt (additional writer).
It was also the only videogame-related award at the event. There were awards three for the film category, three for radio, one for promotional writing (on TV, new media or radio), and 21 for TV and new media.
The game is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC. It will come to the PS4 later this year.
