The rumors announced yesterday were indeed true as Nintendo announced this morning Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are coming to the 3DS this year. Though it is too early to see any footage of actual gameplay, this new generation of Pokémon is already bringing smiles to new and veteran fans of the successful franchise.

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, President of The Pokémon Company, announced the arrival of both new games for a worldwide Holiday 2016 release, with content in 9 languages (including Chinese Traditional and Simplified).

Also, with the arrival tomorrow of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, fans will finally be able to add their Pokémon from these titles onto their Pokébank app for use in other titles.

Now, the next main question will be if the upcoming Pokémon games will have something to do with NX.
