In a surprise announcement by the people working on a remake of MGS in Unreal Engine 4, the Metal Gear Solid fan project Shadow Moses gets cancelled. The Facebook page doesn’t share any specific details of the cancellation but says “we have to cancel the Shadow Moses Project for reasons beyond our control.”

The makers of the fan project were supposed to make a “huge announcement” on March 14, but unfortunately, the HD version of Metal Gear Solid won’t happen. In case you missed the work of the people at Shadow Moses, take a look at the trailer.

Could Konami be responsible for the cancellation of this fan-made project? Too bad there’s no straight answer to this.
