Square Enix announced today the first Kingdom Hearts Orchestra concerts start this August in Japan, followed by a World Tour coming to Los Angeles, New York and other cities in 2017. For the very first time, fans of KH will have the chance to enjoy the their favorite songs from the many titles of the popular Disney/Square Enix franchise.
Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath- will only take place in Japan during the month of August, with performances in Tokyo, Osaka and Aichi.
Fans around the world will have to wait for the World Tour starting also in Japan. Here’s a list of the dates:
- Japan – March 10, 2017 – Tokyo International Forum A (Tokyo)
- France –March 18 & 19, 2017 – Salle Pleyel (Paris)
- United Kingdom – March 24 & 25, 2017 – Central Hall Westminster (London)
- Singapore – May 6 & 7, 2017 – Esplanade Concert Hall
- China – May 28, 2017 – Mercedes Benz Arena (Shanghai)
- USA – June 10 & 14, 2017 – Dolby Theatre (Los Angeles)
- USA – June 24, 2017 – United Palace Theatre (New York)
Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath- will only take place in Japan during the month of August, with performances in Tokyo, Osaka and Aichi. It seems like Kingdom Hearts will follow the same format as other game concerts such as Zelda and Final Fantasy. This time, there will be more than 70 musicians on stage, along with HD cinematics.
Fans around the globe will have to wait for the Kingdom Hearts Concert -World Tour- starting also in Japan on March 10, 2017.
According to Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts series: “The idea of a KINGDOM HEARTS concert has been in the works for several years, but even so, I was astonished to learn that our music would be performed by a full orchestra, in other countries no less. I’ve been given the opportunity to oversee the creation of the title, logo, and many other aspects of this amazing production, and as the director of the series, I am confident that what we’ve created will touch the hearts of our beloved fans everywhere.”
