After the unfortunate events in Orlando and other cities, one of the US telecommunications giants is showing its support this time close to home. With its headquarters in Downtown Dallas, AT&T launches donation-by-text program to support Dallas.

AT&T wireless customers can donate $10 by texting “Dallas Strong” to 50555. All proceeds will go to the United Way of Metro Dallas “to support those affected and the most urgent local needs as we work to unify our community after the July 7 tragedy.” Donations made by customers will appear on their bill.

“With our headquarters in downtown Dallas, last night’s tragedy hits especially close to home. Our thoughts and prayers are with those killed and injured, and their loved ones,” says AT&T.
