Capcom told game magazine Dengeki that Resident Evil 7 is coming to the Windows 10 Store as well. Previously, the company had announced the arrival of the game to PS4, Xbox One and Steam. Though the Windows 10 Store doesn’t have a big selection of third-party titles like Steam does, the arrival of console games being launched at the same time on Windows 10 is slow but progressing. Usually, some console games arrive after some months to PC platforms such as Steam, seeing more games coming to Xbox One and Windows via the Universal Windows Platform can bring more high-quality games to PCs.
Windows 10 users will be able to play the game at 4K resolution and share saves across their Microsoft devices, but Capcom Europe did not respond to Windows Central author Jez Corden whether the game will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
“The Windows Store release of RE7 will allow players to share their play data with the Xbox One release. There’s no more details at this time.”
Xbox Play Anywhere titles let gamers buy a copy on one platform (like Xbox One) and get it free on the other one (Windows 10).
