Camilla Luddington: The new Lara Croft | La nueva Lara Croft

[EN]: British actress Camilla Luddington, who has played recent TV roles in William & Kate, and Californication, has been chosen as the one to play the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider game franchise.

It took Crystal Dynamics, the game developing company in charge of one of the most well-known game characters, an international search to find Luddington.

After a role played by Angelina Jolie, Keeley Hawes, and Minnie Driver, Camilla will be doing the voiceover and motion-capture of the gaming character. Unlike the previous actresses, Camilla will be the first one to do both things for the game.

The new Tomb Raider game will take Lara to the beginning of her stories when she has to fight to survive on a tropical island.

“This Tomb Raider game is very different to any other and we are demanding far more from the voice acting than ever before,” said Darrell Gallagher, studio head at Crystal Dynamics.

She will be in panel discussions with the game development team during this summer’s San Diego Comic-con.
