[EN]: One of Mexico’s most well-known soccer/fútbol players, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has signed a multi-year endorsement with EA Sports yesterday. As part of the deal, Hernandez will appear on the cover art of FIFA 14 (Mexico version) as well as in one of two covers in the US version of the soccer title. He won’t be appearing alone in the cover; he will be next to the Argentinian soccer superstar Lionel Messi.
“For me it’s a real honor to have been selected to appear on the cover of FIFA 14, first of all because I declare myself a big fan of this game, and second because I’m looking forward to sharing my passion for football and EA SPORTS FIFA 14 with fans all over the world,” said Chicarito.
Besides appearing in the cover, he will also become an EA Sports Football Ambassador representing the game developer company in marketing and advertising campaigns in North America.
Hernandez is recognized around the world playing for the Mexican national soccer team and for the Manchester United Football Club.
FIFA 14 will arrive to current-generation consoles PS3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 24.
