[EN]: A lot of things have happened since the release of the first home videogaming system, the Magnavox Odyssey, in 1972, thanks to the grandfather of videogames, Ralph Baer. America and the world were introduced to a new way to have fun.
Forty-one years later, the Odyssey has earned a very deserving spot in the very recognized collection at the Museum of Modern Art, along with six excellent games: Pong, Space Invaders, Asteriods, Tempest, Yar’s Revenge, and Minecraft.
This is the second list of games mentioned by the Museum of Modern Art. Back in November 2012, MoMA announced 14 games now on display at the museum’s Applied Design exhibition, which include Pac-Man, Tetris, Portal, Katamari Damacy and many others.
All these games deserve recognition for bringing creativity and fun to us all.
Q: What was the first (classic) videogame you’ve played?
[ES]: Muchas cosas han pasado desde el lanzamiento del primer sistema de videojuegos hogareño, el Magnavox Odyssey, en 1972, gracias al abuelo de los videojuegos , Ralph Baer. Se les presentó a América y al mundo a una nueva manera de divertirse.
Cuarenta y un años después, el Odyssey se ha ganado un lugar muy digno de la colección muy reconocida en el Museo de Arte Moderno, junto con seis excelentes juegos: Pong, Space Invader , Asteroids, Tempest, La Venganza de Yar, y Minecraft.
