Due to the recent tragedy in Central Florida, Verizon Wireless is making it easier for its clients to assist the victims and their families. Now, Verizon customers can support Orlando Pulse victims with a $10 donation to the OneOrlando Fund by simply texting the word ORLANDO to 501501.
According to Verizon, the donations are “to provide a way to help respond to the needs of Orlando’s community, now and in the time to come, after the effects of the Pulse tragedy.”
“Our City has just begun to recover from the impact of the Pulse tragedy. The support of major cell phone providers, like Verizon, sends a signal to our City that we are not in this alone,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “The money we are raising will provide a way to help us respond to the needs of our community. Words cannot begin to express how grateful we are for the outpouring of support from across the globe.”
Verizon customers who support OneOrlando will see $10 added to their billing account upon confirmation with their zip code.
