During the first two days of the launch of Japanese company’s newest product, Nintendo triumphed with Switch sales records in the Americas.
According to reporter Nick Wingfield from New York Times in an interview with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé.
2. Fri-Sat sales for Nintendo Switch exceeded first 2-day sales in Americas for any system in Nintendo history. Next biggest was Wii.

It is highly unusual for a game system to make such a record especially when not launched during the Fall or holiday season in the US.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also saw success by becoming “the best-selling standalone launch title” in the company’s history, selling more copies than Super Mario 64.
