During this morning’s Pokémon Direct broadcast, The Pokémon Company announced Pokkén Tournament DX is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 22.
The remastered version of the Wii U Pokémon fighting, which will be the first Pokémon title for Switch, will feature five new playable fighters, plus Ranked Match, Friendly Match and Group Match. For the very first time, players will play a Pokémon game with Joy-Con controllers. Fans attending E3 2017 will be able to try out the deluxe version of the fighting game. Nintendo showed a trailer featuring the newest contestants such as Scizor, Croagunk, Darkrai and Decidueye.
The last 20 seconds of the long trailer also showed gameplay of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, two games that will take players back to the Alola region with Pokémon not seen in last year’s titles. The newest versions will make their debut on November 17, 2017.
