With the announcements of the many films and series coming to cinemas and Disney+, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said the new Blade movie won’t be part of the phase four lineup, according to Collider.
Feige did not confirm if the new Blade film, starring actor Mahershala Ali, will eventually become part of phase five.
Ali is no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he has already played the role of club owner Cottonmouth in season 1 of Netlix series Luke Cage (2016-2018).
However, because of Ali’s presence in Luke Cage, fans of the Marvel show on Netflix may be wondering if the show on the streaming network is canon or not.
Also, Ali will have some big shoes to fill as he will have a role previously played by actor and martial artist Wesley Snipes. Snipes has a 5th dan black belt in Shotokan Karate.
