Resident Evil 2 wins Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards 2019

At the Golden Joystick Awards 2019 in London, Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 received the Ultimate Game of the Year award.

Thanks to the public vote, the RE2 remake was able to beat eleven titles, including Apex Legends, Gears 5, Untitled Goose Game, Control, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and others.

The game’s directors, Kazunori Kadoi and Yasuhiro Anpo, sent a video message thanking all the fans who voted for RE2.

Also, Capcom received two more awards: Best Audio for Resident Evil 2, and Best Visual Design for Devil May Cry 5.
