Xbox Live is back online for all its users after experiencing errors that didn’t let some users sign-in to Live, purchase content, or make use of match-making.
It seems like the problems started earlier in the day as Phil Spencer tweeted in the morning that “usage is up on almost everything” and thanks the Ops/IT teams for the “increased demand” of servers.
Yea, usage is up on almost everything. Thanks go out to all the Ops/IT teams at all the companies that are working hard to keep everything running smoothly with all going on around them.

However, its most recent messages in the afternoon and early evening hours mentioned the problems were still happening for some users. As seen on on Twitter, the company said some of its users were “experiencing errors with sign in or matching making on Xbox Live.”
We understand some users may be experiencing errors with sign in or matching making on Xbox Live, and are currently investigating. Please check back here for details.

The beta version of its support page showed Xbox Live Core Services, Purchase and Content Usage, and Website were affected.
On Core Services, some Xbox One users were unable to sign into Xbox Live since 5:18 pm ET and 5:28pm ET. Because of that, they were unable to buy downloadable items and unable to use prepaid cards or codes to download items or activate subscriptions.
However, at around 8:34 pm ET, those users started receiving the following message via text and the Xbox Live app: “Xbox Assist: Xbox Live sign-in is back up and running.”
