The Taipei Game Show 2020, which was originally postponed and rescheduled for June 25-28, has been cancelled. Due to the increasing concerns of the coronavirus outbreak, the organizing committee has decided to call off Taipei Game Show 2020 (B2C Zone, B2B Zone) and Asia Pacific Game Summit. Organizers had to comply with the most recent rules in Taiwan. Any event with 100 attendees or more has to be suspended.
The show was fits cancelled January 31 and was schedule to have taken place February 6-9. It was then postponed for the summer. Last year, more than 320,000 people went to the show in Taiwan.
“Some of the exhibitors, the trade visitors, the game developers, and guests cannot enter Taiwan because of the border control. The priority now is to comply with the guidelines and countermeasures announced by the government authorities and prevent the epidemic from further spreads. Therefore, we decide[d] to call off Taipei Game Show 2020.”
For now, the committee is planning on bringing part of the show online, such as an “Online Business Matching Event” and the “Taipei Game Show LIVE!” for companies to showcase their announcements.
We would've had a great show in 2020. However, this coronavirus had other plans. Despite the unfortunate changes, Taipei Game Show 2020 B2B Zone is preparing a free Online Biz-Matching event. Details will be announced in the upcoming future. Stay tuned.https://t.co/x4K6BiXEl1
