Today, EA, Lucasfilm and Motive Studios announced the upcoming launch of the first-person space dogfighting game Star Wars: Squadrons.
According to EA, the game will feature 5×5 multiplayer dogfights along with fleet battles and an original single-player story taking place during the last days of the Galactic Empire and the rise of the New Republic.
The next Star Wars gaming experience will make its debut on October 2, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC (via Origin, Steam, Epic Games Store). VR fans will enjoy the game on PC and PS4.
In Story Mode, players will experience what it’s like to become a pilot, representing either a character from the the New Republic’s Vanguard Squadron or one from the Galactic Empire’s Titan Squadron.
Fans can now pre-order the game via retail and digital stores. It’ll cost US$39.99.
EA will show the first gameplay this week at EA Play Live.
