Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War, the upcoming game in the COD franchise, has been revealed.
News site Charlie Intel broke the news today confirming the game sharing tweets which include a teaser trailer.
The 2-minute teaser trailer introduces viewers to KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov who warns us all about a Soviet spy codename Perseus who “has infiltrated western intelligence.” Perseus’ goal, according to Bezmenov in a TV interview, is to “subvert the U.S. to ensure Soviet dominance in the arms race.”
“It is a slow process which we call active measures. The first stage being demoralization. It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. The next stage is destabilization. What matters is essentials. Economy, foreign relations, defense systems. The next stage is crisis. With the violent change of power, structure, and economy, a period of normalization,” says Bezmenov.
“This is what will happen in the Unites States if you allow the schmucks to put a Big Brother government in Washington, D.C., who will promise lots of things, never mind whether the promises are fulfilled or not.”
He finishes his statement with: “The time bomb is ticking. The disaster is coming closer and closer. The danger is real.”
The video features many scenes about civil rights, protests, the White House, wars, and more.

A screenshot shows logos representing both developers, Treyarch and Raven.
The first time we’ve got Treyarch and Raven logos together at the end of a trailer. Wonder how the box art will look. 🤔 pic.twitter.com/69wi3RT71Q

Today’s trailer also seems to have a similar feel compared to the 2015 Black Ops 3 “Ember” teaser video.
Anyone else watch the #BlackOpsColdWar teaser trailer and get reminded of the 2015 Black Ops 3 “Ember” Teaser video? Very similar vibes. If you didn’t see it back in 2015: https://t.co/G7ORR4oCqD
