Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the return of its Play at Home Initiative and will give away the Ratchet & Clank PS4 game for a limited time via the PlayStation Store starting March 1.
“In these historic times, the team at PlayStation wanted to thank the community by giving something back,” said Jim Ryan, SIE President and CEO. “These days, we could all use something to look forward to and another reason to stay safely socially distanced, so we are happy to be able to offer a free selection of great games and some entertainment offers.”
Along with the availability on Ratchet & Clank in March, Sony will give extended access to new subscribers of Funimation (anime subscription service for US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand) or Wakanim (for most of Western and Northern Europe). The extended access will start on March 25 for a limited time.
SIE will share more details about free games and other offers in the coming weeks.
Last year, SIE gave away Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey with the Play at Home Initiative, for fans to stay at home “to lessen the impact of this (COVID-19) pandemic.”
For fans who haven’t played Ratchet & Clank, this is great opportunity to get to know them before the arrival of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in June.
