Athena Asamiya joins Team Super Heroine in The King of Fighters XV

Athena Asamiya has joined Team Super Heroine in The King of Fighters XV, SNK announced.

The young J-Pop idol first appeared in the 1986 arcade game Psycho Soldier サイコソルジャー by SNK, years before her appearance in The King of Fighters ’94.

Her fighting style is a combination of her psychic abilities and Chinese Kung Fu. She is a hard worker who is also polite and serious.

Athena will join Team Super Heroine alongside Mai Shiranui and Yuri Sakazaki in the 3-v-3 fighting game. This specific group of combatants has teamed up before in the spin-off titles The King of Fighters R-1 and The King of Fighters R-2 for the Neo-Geo Pocket portable system as members of the Heroines Team. Both titles were based on The King of Fighters ’97 and The King of Fighters ’98 respectively.

She will be voiced in KOF XV by Haruna Ikezawa.
