According to The Washington Post, both State Farm and Coca-Cola are reconsidering their collaborations with Activision Blizzard after The California Dept. of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit against the video game company due to allegations of harassment and discrimination by current and former female employees.
Though T-Mobile is no longer seen as a sponsor, State Farm and Coca-Cola released statements to The Washington Post about their partnership with the game company.
State Farm is “reevaluating our limited marketing relationship with the Overwatch League,” a spokesperson told TWP. The auto insurance company also asked Activision Blizzard for “no advertisements run during the matches this weekend.”
Meanwhile, a Coca-Cola spokesperson told the newspaper it is “aware of the allegations surrounding Activision Blizzard.” The spokesperson didn’t say if the company will continue to advertise during the upcoming Overwatch League that start tomorrow Friday.
As of now, the logos for State Farm and Coca-Cola still appear on the Overwatch League’s Partners page (Archive), alongside the logos for IBM and other companies.
