Today, Epic Games filed a notice of appeal following Judge Yvonne González-Rogers’s ruling in the company’s case against Apple.
The notice says Epic Games wants to appeal the judge’s decision along with “all orders leading to or producing that judgment, including but not limited to the Rule 52 Order After Trial on the Merits (ECF No. 812) and the Permanent Injunction (ECF No. 813), each entered on the same date.”
This past Friday, Epic Games got success in only one of ten counts against Apple. The judge said Apple has to allow all developers other options for payments. For González-Rogers, Apple’s in-app payment procedure was unfair competition.
However, the judge also stated the removal of Fortnite from the App Store was not an anti-competitive activity by Apple.
