During the THQ Nordic 10th Anniversary showcase, the company introduced Jagged Alliance 3 with Tropico developer Haemimont Games in charge.
In the upcoming turn-based tactics game, “the player takes command of a mercenary organization in the fictional country of Grand Chien – a land thrown into chaos after a brutal paramilitary force known as “the Legion” took over.”
According to THQ Nordic via its game page at Steam, “Jagged Alliance 3 will combine tactically deep, turn-based combat with exploration of a large game world with strategic elements including gaining control over territories, training local forces, and establishing multiple squads chosen from beloved mercenaries – all well known to fans of the series.”
The game will feature “RPG-elements like special perks or level-ups for your mercenaries, as well as looting and customizing your arsenal of weaponry.”
Players will be able to take advantage of a co-op multiplayer mode to play with a friend.
THQ Nordic is currently offering Jagged Alliance 1: Gold Edition (Archive) free of charge on Steam.
The upcoming title is a true sequel of the 1999 game Jagged Alliance 2. The franchise made its debut in 1994, with Madlab Software at its original developer and Sir-Tech as its original publisher.
