During the 22-minute PlayStation State of Play 2021.10.27 presentation, Sony showed ten new videos of third-party titles coming in 2021 and 2022. One of the most interesting news was the reveal of Dolores on The King of Fighters XV along with the announcement of an open beta. - The King of Fighters XV
- Open Beta Test scheduled to run from 7PM Nov 19th PST to 6:59AM Nov 22nd PST for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. The purpose of this test is to improve the game’s online functions.
- Choose from 8 characters: KOF newcomer Dolores, KOF XV hero Shun’ei, Yashiro, Shermie, and Chris of Team Orochi, and Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, and Chizuru Kagura of Team Sacred Treasures!
- There are two online and two offline modes; CASUAL MATCH and ROOM MATCH can be accessed online while TRAINING and VERSUS are accessible offline. ROOM MATCH in particular features KOF XV’s newest feature—DRAFT VS, where once a character is picked, the opponent no longer has access to them.
- Playable Characters: Dolores, Shun’ei, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Chizuru Kagura, Yashiro Nanakase, Shermie, Chris.
- Dolores is a mysterious character as she is a medium who can speak to the earth and control holy soil. The details on her clothes are similar to the embroidery found on another character… Be prepared for some awesome fights with the cool and collected Dolores.
- Dolores (Profile): A revered hermit in the Hinterlands of Africa, Dolores has allied herself with Heidern. Her psychic medium capabilities allow her to contact the spirits of the earth, and she uses holy soil to combat her foes. Apparently one of the many resurrected through Verse, Dolores may hold the key to its secret, however her connection to it remains a mystery.
