Sloclap announces new Sifu release date

Via social media, French indie game developer Sloclap announced the new Sifu release date will be February 8, 2022.

Instead of the original release date of February 22, 2022, the game will now be released exactly two weeks earlier.

It’s great news for fans hoping to play the kung fu action-adventure game for PS4, PS5 and PC (via Epic Games Store).

“We are pleased to announce that Sifu will be released on the PlayStation Store on February 8th, 2022. We have made good progress on getting our game ship-ready and we are excited to be able to launch Sifu two weeks earlier than anticipated,” says a description for the Sifu release update video. “To celebrate, we have prepared two brand-new gameplay videos that will be revealed today.”

Sidu was announced for the very first time during Sony’s State of Play livestream in February 2021. Sloclap had plans to release the title sometime before the end of this year, but decided to delay the release to make improvements and to avoid crunch time for its team of employees.

We were hoping to release Sifu before the end of 2021, but this won’t be possible without compromising quality and having the team crunch for months, neither of which is acceptable. Even if it’s for the best, we're VERY sorry for the delay. Thank you for your patience!
