It Takes Two sells over 5 million copies

Hazelight Studios announced today its latest milestone: It Takes Two surpasses 5 million copies sold.

Since its launch in March 2021, the game has brought success to the Swedish game developer. It Takes Two won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021.

The studio made the announcement via social media: “5… that’s FIVE million copies of #ItTakesTwo sold! 😳💥🥳Our team is absolutely stunned just thinking about how many players have now enjoyed our game! 😍.”

This announcement comes after Variety said Hazelight Studios is working with dj2 Entertainment on the film and TV adaptations of the game (archive).
