In an interview with Leo Magazine, actor Norman Reedus said a Death Stranding sequel is currently in development.
Reedus, who plays the role of Samuel Porter Bridges in Death Stranding, was asked about his work on the game.
“Okay, so you got the book going on, you’ve got the final season coming out, then the spinoff, and you’re filming Death Stranding, the video game,” said the interviewer.
The actor immediately responded with “we just started the second one.”
He was later asked “how did that come about?”
After Reedus explains how he met and decided to work with Hideo Kojima, he said how long it took him to complete his motion capture sessions.
“It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the MoCap sessions and everything. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was a huge thing, so we just started part two of that.”
Though there hasn’t been an official announcement of a Death Stranding sequel, we may expect some news during events such as Summer Game Fest sometime next month or in July.
