Universal Studios Hollywood to welcome Super Nintendo World in early 2023

Universal Studios Hollywood announced today the upcoming Super Nintendo World attraction will open early 2023.

Via Twitter, Universal Studios Hollywood made the announcement along with a second tweet sharing a video of Mario Kart Bowser’s Challenge. To play this game, each fan would need to use a special goggle. Players will be able to collect coins and throw shells to reach the finish line and win the Golden Cup.

Today’s announcement did not state in what month the Super Mario World attraction will make its US debut. The first one in Universal Studios Japan, located in Osaka, made its debut in March 2021, months after delays due to COVID-19. Meanwhile, the one for Universal Studios Orlando is still under construction and scheduled for 2025.

This update comes almost three months after Nintendo and Universal Studios mentioned the Universal Studios Hollywood attraction would be ready sometime in 2023.
