Microsoft announced today its Xbox Cloud Gaming service is coming to 2022 Samsung Smart TVs on June 30.
In exactly three weeks, people in 27 countries will be able to play games without the need of an Xbox console or a PC. The Xbox app will be available on the Samsung Gaming Hub on certain Samsung devices.
The Microsoft gaming streaming service is available for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Players can make use of it with smartphones, PCs and Xbox consoles.
However, Xbox wants to reach the masses with its plans to offer gaming via the cloud. No console required.
The partnership between Microsoft and Samsung is not exclusive. The goal of Microsoft is to extend its partnership with more TV makers. Also, Fortnite will not require a membership to play the game via the cloud.
Most game controllers will be compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming.
