The Nintendo Switch OLED model maintains the lead with 32,506 units in Japan game console sales for the week of May 30 – June 5, 2022, said Famitsu.
This time around, the PlayStation 5 occupied second place and the Xbox Series S fourth place, a position higher for both than in the previous week. The PS5 and Xbox Series S both pushed the Nintendo Switch Lite to fifth place.
In overall sales, Nintendo led once again with a combined total of 60,122 Switch units and 257 2DS units. In second place, Sony sold close to half the number of consoles compared to Nintendo with 28,583 PS5 units, in addition to 21 PS4 units. For Microsoft, both Xbox Series models reached 11,573 consoles sold.
