The video game industry has responded in support of reproductive freedom after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that established the constitutional right to abortion.
The recent decision by most current U.S. Supreme Court judges (Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Bret Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas) will now allow states to enforce restrictive abortion laws. In certain states like Texas, abortion has already become illegal.
Via social media, many companies have already stated they will assist their employees with expenses to travel to other states that will continue to support reproductive rights. Some of the big companies sharing their support are Sony (and its studios), EA, Microsoft (Xbox), and Ubisoft.
