Crystal Dynamics announced today the end of development and support is coming this year for Marvel’s Avengers.
After the game’s final update (version 2.8) is made available on March 31, there won’t be any new cosmetic items added to the game’s Marketplace, and update 2.8 in March will bring about any necessary balancing adjustments.
In addition, “Credits will no longer be purchasable and all remaining Credit balances will be converted into in-game resources to aid ongoing adventures.”
Also, all official support for Marvel’s Avengers and digital purchases of the game will end on September 30, 2023.
The Update 2.7 released in November 2022 has become the last new content added to Marvel’s Avengers.
To thank fans for their support, the game’s “Marketplace, Challenge Card, and Shipment cosmetic content will be made available to all players for free,” starting March 31, 2023.
The game’s single-player and multiplayer gameplay will continue to be available after official support ends in September.
