The highly anticipated follow-up to Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, will cost $69.99 USD as opposed to the usual $59.99 price for first-party Nintendo games, the company confirmed.
The updated Tears of the Kingdom price (archive) is visible on Nintendo’s website following Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct.
The price for the upcoming title is the first time the company will charge that amount for a Nintendo Switch title. The Nintendo eShop website as well as stores such as Best Buy and GameStop are already showing the $69.99 USD price.
Other companies such as Ubisoft, Microsoft and Sony have increased the price of their first-party titles from $59.99 to $69.99.
Via a press release, Nintendo confirmed the price for both the Standard Edition and the Collector’s Edition (which will include a physical version of the game, an artbook with concept art, a Steelbook case, an Iconart steel poster and a set of four pin badges).
GameStop (archive | screenshot) and Best Buy (archive) already show $129.99 USD for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Deluxe Edition.
