E3 stays in LA | E3 se queda en Los Angeles

[EN]: E3 is not going away, at least for the next three years. Just this morning, the ESA revelaed the locations of next year’s E3 expo via a press release. Due to the construction of the new football field, E3 2013 will take place not just at the Los Angeles Convention Center, but also at L.A. LIVE and many places in Downtown Los Angeles and the city itself, from June 11-13, 2013.

Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, said: “The City of Los Angeles is thrilled to welcome E3 back for another three years. My office was committed to doing whatever it took to keep the largest annual conference that the City hosts here for another three years. I personally joined in the negotiations, and we worked with all parties to ensure the needs of E3 would be met. The City is grateful the Entertainment Software Association continues to view LA, the entertainment capital of the world, as the ideal location for the world’s premiere video game convention.”

I was hoping E3 would come to the East Coast, and I’m sure many gamers wished the same thing, especially the ones who have not had a chance to attend the expo. Of course, you have to be an investor, a journalist, or a member of the industry to be able to attend, but having the greatest event in the gaming industry close to where you live would be simply fantastic.

[ES]: E3 no se va, al menos para los próximos tres años. Esta misma mañana, la ESA reveló las ubicaciones de la exposición E3 del año que viene a través de un comunicado de prensa. Debido a la construcción del nuevo campo de fútbol americano, el E3 2013 se llevará a cabo no sólo en el Los Angeles Convention Center, sino también en L.A. Live y en muchos lugares del centro de Los Ángeles y de la ciudad en sí, del 11 al 13 de junio, 2013.

Yo esperaba que E3 viniese a la costa este (de los EE.UU.), y estoy seguro que muchos jugadores deseaban lo mismo, más bien para aquellos que no han tenido la oportunidad de asistir a la expo. Claro, tienes que ser un/a inversionista, un/a periodista, o miembro de la industria para poder asistir, pero teniendo el mayor evento de la industria de juegos cerca de donde vives sería simplemente fantástico.
