Happy 20th Anniversary, World Wide Web!

[EN]: Exactly 20 years ago, CERN (Organisation européenne pour la recherche nucléaire / European Organization for Nuclear Research) shared the first publication of the technologies used for the World Wide Web , free of charge. Though the Internet was originally designed for universities to exchange information, it marked a big change in the course of our history when it became available to all. Tim Berners-Lee, a computer scientist, created the HyperText Markup Language (HTML), the HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP), the first web browser (called ‘WorldWideWeb’), and the Universal Resource Identifier (aka Uniform Resource Locator or URL).

Terms like URL, HTTP, HTML, www. and.com became part of our vocabulary since the Internet entered into our lives. Because of the 20th anniversary of the World Wide Web, the first published web page is back online thanks to CERN.
