Konami told Kotaku today the Silent Hills game which had the involvement of Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus will not continue. After the removal of Silent Hills’ Playable Demo from PSN and the announcement by del Toro that the game”won’t happen,” Konami shared this statement:
Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.
In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements.
Fans of Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus may want to download P.T. before it is gone from the PlayStation Network. It could be a piece of game history that may not see the light of day again.
