During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Nintendo announced Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei V coming to Nintendo Switch along with Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster.
According to Nintendo and Atlus, “order itself has crumbled and chaos reigns over all” in SMTV. Players will see a “simultaneous global launch in 2021.” Shin Megami Tensei V was previously announced in 2017. “The time for creation has come; follow your will and decide the world’s fate.”
Meanwhile, Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne HD Remaster is a “full high-definition remake” of the original title released in 2003 in Japan and in 2004 in North America for the PlayStation 2.
The eight-minute presentation, announced just 10 hours before the online showcase, also shared new details for WWE 2K Battlegrounds (launch date: Sept. 18, 2020), Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda, and Rogue Company.
The new content for Cadence of Hyrule includes DLC Pack 1 Character Pack (available today, with Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda, Frederick), DLC Pack 2 Melody Pack (39 new songs including remixed versions of the game’s background music), and DLC 3 Symphony of the Mask (additional story content played as Skull Kid). A Season Pass is available today. Also, a version of the game containing all three DLCs will be available on October 23.
“With this new Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, we are delighted to be shining a spotlight on great games from our development and publishing partners,” said Steve Singer, Senior Vice President of Publisher and Developer Relations at Nintendo of America. “With multiple showcases this year, we can continue highlighting the breadth of games and the variety of experiences all types of players can get on Nintendo Switch.”
