Hitman 3 to be an Epic Games Store exclusive

Along with its console and stream launch, Hitman 3 will be an Epic Games Store PC exclusive for one year, developer IO Interactive announced today.

“As an independent studio, our partnership with Epic has given us the freedom to create HITMAN 3 exactly as we imagined and self-publish the game to our players directly,” says today’s post. “It’s also important to us that we honour the time our existing PC players have spent in our previous games.”

Fans who purchase the Epic version will be able to continue their progress and unlocks from the Hitman 2 Steam version to the Hitman 3 one on Epic Games Store. Also, players will be able “to import locations from the previous two games into HITMAN 3 on Epic Games Store.”

In addition, IO Interactive introduced fans the location of Hitman 3’s second mission, Dartmoor, where “you can take on the role of detective to solve a murder and eliminate your target. Two birds, one disguise.”

Hitman 3 is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google Stadia, and PC via Epic in January 2021.
