All the trailers from Ubisoft Forward – September 2020

Before the start of today’s Ubisoft Forward 2020, CEO Yves Guillemot issued an apology after reports of misconducts leading to firings at the company. Allegations of verbal and physical abuse and of an extramarital affair of a former employee with a streamer are the cause of immediate changes at the company.

“This summer, we learned that certain Ubisoft employees did not uphold our company’s values, and that our system failed to protect the victims of their behavior,” said Guillemot. “I am truly sorry to everyone who was hurt. We have taken significant steps to remove or sanction those who have violated our values and code of conduct. And we are working out how to improve our system and processes.”

He also apologized for content on the mobile game Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad which had a enemy logo similar to the one for the Black Lives Matter movement. “This kind of oversight cannot happen.”

Inclusion is also becoming an important topic at Ubisoft. “We are also working to improve diversity and inclusion at all levels of the company.”
