Ubisoft announced today it has sold more copies of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla than any other franchise title during its first week of release. It’s excellent news for Ubisoft after debuting the game on multiple console and platforms.
“We are truly delighted by the enthusiastic response from players and want to thank the fans for their incredible support. Delivering this game amid a global pandemic was a true tour de force by our teams and it’s fantastic to see players enjoying the game so much,” said Julien Laferrière, producer at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. “Launch is only the beginning and we have robust content plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that will keep players immersed in their epic Viking saga for a long time to come.”
The success of the game also comes to Windows as it has become its top-selling PC title during the same initial week. It seems like many PC fans got the game on the Ubisoft Store with an “all-time record” in sales for the company. However, the company wasn’t specific about how many digital copies were sold in rival platofrms (such as Epic Games Store or Steam) or in its own service.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla made its debut on November 10, 2020, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Epic Games Store, Stadia, Amazon Luna, Ubisoft Store (Windows PC) and Ubisoft+.
